| Tiffany Harnsongkram Ladebat and Lionel Ladebat September 18, 2004 | |||||||
God planned it all along... When Tiffany was 16 and Lionel 15...they met while he was in Seattle on a language study program. They wrote a few letters. But you know how that goes...so... 3 years later...Tiffany took a solo Tour de Europe and called Lio on a whim. He immediately called his dad to come get her in Paris and bring her to the South of France. Upon arrival, they hit it off. He was so charming and Tiffany loved his culture and old house. After she left they continued visiting back and forth until Tiffany went to study in Toulouse. That is when things got really serious. They returned to Seattle together intent on making it. Sept 12, 2003 he proposed in Paris and they had a beautiful night celebrating with dinner on a terrace overlooking the Paris sky. He had reserved an American limosine- a rarity in Paris' little cobblestone streets. Emilie helped him record a CD of their special songs. It was magical! They were married on Thurs, Nov 14 at 4:30 in jeans! Now, for you who have been around this past year, you know the whole 9 month long green card fiasco! Later Lionel was deported,yada yada ... They were like ping pong balls back and forth from France to Seattle...Until Lionel got his green card this last summer and now the immigration issues have been resolved.They took a minute to recuperate. Thank God for parents! Despite all the drama...being married has been better than I ever thought possible. They enjoy each lazy morning and revel in all the simple things that make life beautiful. God has given us so much! |
